I came across Lori Thackham on an internet search because I knew I was in need of a professional and experienced counsellor and psychotherapist who could hold a space for me while I worked through a really challenging and painful time in my life. I was in the process of ending a long-term, abusive relationship and knew I needed somewhere private and confidential that felt safe to be in, away from my life, where I could be held and supported as I worked through the emotional and mental impacts of the trauma of narcissistic abuse.

With compassion, empathy and gentle immediacy, Lori made me feel safe, validated and supported as I worked through some really painful feelings including a deep sense of loss, shame, self loathing, fear and the terror of bullying and abandonment. As we explored what was happening in my current life, I knew deep down it was time for me to explore and heal my childhood trauma. With Lori’s support, experience and care, I was able to access, understand and then grieve and heal some really deep and very ancient wounds which I never ever thought I would be free of. In Lori’s space and with her support I was able to explore and learn how to love, hold and listen to my inner most world and take much better care of me.
